An in-person visit is the best way to experience the historic site and cultural landmark of Historic Oakland Cemetery. The next best thing? One of our speakers coming to you! Each is deeply invested in the current work at Oakland and has knowledgeable insight on the rich and diverse history of the cemetery and Atlanta.
Our off-site presentations are perfect for senior groups, corporate retreats, garden clubs, history buffs, and social clubs. presentations provide insight into the rich and diverse history of Oakland and Atlanta. Presentations last up to 1.5 hours and include a slideshow presentation and Q&A session. A general presentation includes information about the pioneers of Atlanta, Victorian symbolism, cemetery art and architecture, current restoration efforts. The following special topics are also available:

• Preservation and Restoration Efforts at Oakland Cemetery

The fee for the Speakers Series is $100. This rate covers transportation costs and a donation to Historic Oakland Foundation (HOF). Rates may vary depending on audience size and distance from Oakland. If your venue is located more than 25 miles from Oakland Cemetery, we will add an additional .50 per mile to the fee. Oakland Cemetery is located at 248 Oakland Avenue SE, Atlanta, GA 30312.
The speaker fee is waived for all school visits.
All proceeds raised through the Speaker Series support HOF’s mission to restore, protect, and preserve Oakland Cemetery.
If the organization decides to book a private tour of Oakland Cemetery following the presentation, the speaker fee will be discounted from the cost of the private tour.

Ashley spends her free time working at cemeteries all over Georgia including Oconee Hill in Athens, Locust Grove in Sharon, and Old Roswell Cemetery in Roswell.
