Visitors Center and Museum Store
As we begin the restoration of our historic bell tower and await the construction of our new permanent visitors center building, Oakland’s Visitors Center and Museum Store has relocated to temporary quarters in our parking lot just outside the main gate. Stop by to enjoy the amenities in our new and more convenient location. Pick up a free brochure, look up burial records, or purchase a self-guided tour map or a unique souvenir. You’ll find everything you need to get the most out of your visit, and our friendly volunteers are on hand to answer questions and share some history of the cemetery and its residents.
Historic Oakland Cemetery boasts one of the few museum stores affiliated with a historic cemetery, and the carefully curated assortment of merchandise is as unique as the shop itself. The shop offers books on the cemetery, gardening, and Atlanta history; jewelry and gift items made by local artists; and other Oakland-themed gifts such as t-shirts, bookmarks, and postcards. Merchandise varies by season, so be sure to check back often!
The Visitors Center and Museum Store is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays.
