Plan Your Visit

Just drop by, or plan an all-day adventure at Atlanta’s most hallowed site.

Rich history, beautiful gardens, and architecture – there’s plenty to discover at Atlanta’s historic Oakland Cemetery. Explore on your own, take a tour, or attend a special event, right in the heart of the vibrant and historic Grant Park community. We are neighbors to some of the city’s top dining destinations, and there’s plenty more to do nearby.

Please Note: Roads within Oakland Cemetery are currently being repaved. The Cemetery will remain open to visitors while the work is happening, though visitors should be aware that vehicle access to the cemetery will be limited. Families visiting loved ones should contact the Cemetery sexton, Sam Reed, at 404-658-6019 to inquire about accessibility. Stay up-to-date with repaving progress and how it might impact your visit to Oakland Cemetery on our website, Facebook, and Instagram.
