Visitor Center and Museum Store
The Visitor Center and Museum Store is temporarily located just outside Oakland Cemetery’s main gate. Stop by to pick up a free brochure, grab some refreshments, look up burial records, or purchase a self-guided tour map. Say hello to our shop volunteers; they can share some of the history of the cemetery and answer questions. You’ll find clean restrooms in the Visitor Center, as well.
Historic Oakland Cemetery boasts one of the few museum stores affiliated with a historic cemetery, and the carefully curated assortment of merchandise is as unique as the shop itself. The shop offers books on the cemetery, gardening, and Atlanta history; jewelry and gift items made by local artists; and other Oakland-themed gifts such as t-shirts, bookmarks, and postcards. Merchandise varies by season, so be sure to check back often!
