You can submit an inquiry through THIS FORM and a member of our Private Events team will reach out ASAP to plan your event. We require a 50% deposit to hold the space at the time of booking and the remaining balance must be paid in-full no later than 14 days prior to your event.

If a client cancels the event at least 60 days before the scheduled event date, they are eligible for a refund of the deposit, minus a $200 administrative fee.
If cancellation occurs less than 60 days before the event, the deposit is non-refundable.
If cancellation occurs within 14 days of the event, the full balance remains due.

If a client requests a date change for any reason, HOF will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the new date. If the requested new date is unavailable, the non-refundable deposit will be forfeited.

Each rental includes two hours of set up and one hour of tear down time. Additional time onsite for setting up or tearing down will be billed at $250 per hour.

Yes! Foundation members and non-profit clients receive 10 percent off standard rental rates.

HOF has a curated APPROVED VENDOR LIST that makes it easy for you to plan your event. These vendors work with HOF regularly and are familiar with our unique spaces and requirements. Should you wish to use your own vendors, there is a $500 fee, your vendors must sign our Private Event Guidelines and they are responsible for following all HOF rules & regulations.

Oakland Cemetery is an important cultural and historic site and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Therefore, the protection of the grounds, gardens, monuments, hardscapes, and artifacts is of the utmost priority.
All decorations and signs must be freestanding and cannot be hung on the walls of any buildings or on monuments.
Pyrotechnics, confetti cannons, open flames, artificial petals or rice are not permitted.
Unless specifically approved by HOF, items cannot block any streets or paths.
All items must be removed from the premises immediately following the event.

All rentals include 1 hour of load-out, and all items are expected to be removed during that period. We charge $100/night for overnight storage if pre-approved.

Paid parking is available (via the ParkMobile app) in our paved lot at 342 Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. SE. The entrance to the lot is directly across the street from DAS BBQ. SEE MAP. Street parking is also available on surrounding streets. As parking is limited, Marta (King Memorial station is three blocks north of the gate) and rideshare are strongly encouraged.

Driving and parking on the grounds is permitted for passenger vehicles on a limited basis and must be approved by HOF event staff. Parking should be reserved for guests with mobility issues and approved vendors. All vehicles must remain on the designated roadway.

Oakland Cemetery is a historic site with asphalt, brick, and stone paths. Some paths are uneven and are unsuitable for wheelchairs or strollers.
The Bell Tower and Visitor Center are both ADA accessible and include elevators and accessible restrooms on all levels.

No refunds are made for events due to weather conditions.

All private events must abide by City of Atlanta guidelines for parks, which allow alcoholic beverages only with a special permit or prior authorization from HOF. Guests must provide a licensed and insured bartender for any event serving alcohol.

Oakland Overlook: 75 classroom, 100 banquet, 150 standing, 150 lecture.
Historic Bell Tower: 20 classroom, 30 banquet, 50 standing, 50 lecture.
Capacities for outdoor ceremonies are up to 150 guests.

For outdoor-only events, HOF requires that at least one portable toilet be rented (preferably from EVENT SERVICES OF GEORGIA) for parties of 100 or more. The indoor venue spaces have accessible restrooms on all levels.

General security officers are on duty in the cemetery from setup through breakdown. These general security costs are included in your rental fee.

Tables and chairs are provided for indoor rentals only. All outdoor events must provide their own furniture. *note that we do not provide linens.

No! Your rental fee covers setup and teardown of our furniture from our team. Once you’re onsite day-of, you are welcome to shift things around as needed.

Historic Bell Tower includes use of 1 PA speaker with wired microphone, a projector and 10’ tripod screen.
Oakland Overlook includes use of surround speakers, 2 wireless handheld microphones, 1 lavalier microphone, and LED wall for presentations.
We do NOT have staffed, professional A/V support. That said, we can typically troubleshoot most common issues. For anything beyond the basics (think: hybrid/Zoom meetings, additional equipment rentals, day-of support), we recommend consulting with the pros at ZEGI.
