Atlanta’s historic Oakland Cemetery is offering week-long camps for summer vacation.
Our camps provide a unique opportunity to explore art, history, and nature through daily creativity-fueling crafts, exciting skill-building games, hands-on problem-solving activities, and engaging experiments that will ignite campers’ imagination and love of learning.
Activities are centered around a different theme each week, so students can attend one or more camps and have a different experience each week.
Oakland Camps are for children ages 6-11. Your camper must be in this range by the start of camp.
June 30 - July 3 Camp Theme: Oakland Rocks Geology
Dig into the fascinating world of rocks, minerals, and fossils! Campers will explore local geology through hands-on activities, including rock hunts, gemstone identification, and archeology digs. Perfect for young scientists with a passion for discovery, Junior Geologists Camp brings the science of the Earth to life in a fun, interactive way!
Each day, campers will participate in hands-on science experiments like making crystal gardens and simulating volcanic eruptions. They’ll also explore rock formations, go on rock hunts, and learn to identify minerals and gemstones.
