Explore art, history, nature, and science in one of Atlanta’s most special parks!
Atlanta’s historic Oakland Cemetery is offering week-long camps for summer vacation.
Our camps provide a unique opportunity to explore art, history, and nature through daily creativity-fueling crafts, exciting skill-building games, hands-on problem-solving activities, and engaging experiments that will ignite campers’ imagination and love of learning.
Activities are centered around a different theme each week, so students can attend one or more camps and have a different experience each week.
Oakland Camps are for children ages 6-11. Your camper must be in this range by the start of camp.
June 16 - 20 Camp Theme: Nature Detectives
Calling all curious minds! At Nature Detectives Camp, campers become real-life nature sleuths, uncovering the secrets of the outdoors. This camp is perfect for budding naturalists eager to explore, ask questions, and unlock the wonders of nature one clue at a time.
Each day, campers will embark on exciting missions to observe wildlife, identify plants, and track animal footprints, learning to solve mysteries hidden in the forest, fields, and streams. Through scavenger hunts, bug investigations, and tree ID challenges, young detectives will develop observation skills, teamwork, and a deep appreciation for the natural world.
Each day is a new adventure, where campers learn the basics of survival, tackle obstacle courses, and explore natural habitats. Camp activities included games, storytelling, challenges, and hands-on discovery.
