As we kick off our 2025-26 Homeschool Day programming, join Oakland as we unearth the historical foundations of early Atlanta and explore how the rapid growth of the city spurred the construction of its most historic cemetery.
Using primary source artifacts, guided investigation, and the historic landscape at Oakland Cemetery, students will use investigative and interpretative skills to better understand the impact of the individuals, groups, and businesses that sparked the settlement and growth of this New South city.
