SKU: Iris-16 Category:

Iris pseudacorus, commonly called yellow flag, is a beardless iris that is native to Europe. This is an easy-to-grow plant that produces beautiful flowers on 3-4’ tall stems, especially in damp areas. Bright yellow, 3-4” flowers, with brown or violet veining on each fall, appear in late spring to early. Although plants prefer constant moisture, they grow surprisingly well in average garden soils. Seed pods are fertile and should be removed to avoid self-seeding. While beautiful in gardens, care should be taken to avoid planting along streams or ponds where it can spread into natural waterways and wetland areas.
