The loose and ruffled, medium to large white flowers are brushed with soft pink along their outer edges, giving it the appearance of a watercolor painting. Blooming mid-season, ‘Nina Avery’ is named for the matriarch of the McIlhenny family of Avery Island, La, where the famous Tabasco sauce is made. Registered in 1949 by E. A. McIlhenny, this vigorous variety produces flowers that are as calm as Tabasco is hot.
