Indian Chief – 1929, early-midseason
Out of stock
Often found in historic gardens ‘Indian Chief’ is lovely vintage variety. Our original plants were a gift from fellow gardeners at Bulloch Hall in Roswell. The velvety falls are deep blood-red, blended with bronze, and the standards are considerably lighter in tone. The freely produced, large flowers are borne on 35” tall, well branched stems and the plant itself is easy and dependable. ‘Indian Chief’ was created by Dr. Wylie Ayres in 1929. Early/Midseason
