I. germanica – 1753, early
Out of stock
Iris germanica, sometimes called common flags, is one of the forefathers of today’s bearded iris. This lovely blue and purple bicolor form was found growing in the Jewish section at Oakland where it had been planted years before. It was necessary to remove it during restoration and it multiplied freely while we waited to return it to original spot. This gift from one of our original families is now scattered throughout the gardens. Early season.
