HOF Presents at Georgia Municipal Cemetery Association Workshop

On Tuesday, May 12, Historic Oakland Foundation’s Director of Presentation, Neale Nickels, will present at the Georgia Municipal Cemetery Association‘s workshop, “Assessing A Cemetery’s Needs.”
As the Director of Preservation Neale oversees Oakland’s staff of preservation tradespeople, contractors, research assistants and volunteers. He also manages the general maintenance operations of Historic Oakland Foundation, including logistics for special events. He engages with stakeholders and potential donors to ensure the long-term vision of the Historic Oakland Foundation remains intact.
Neale will provide instruction on assessing the needs of a historic cemetery as it relates to preservation, conservation and restoration projects. Basic monument repair and cleaning techniques will be discussed, and demonstrations will be provided as time allows.
