Spring Plant Sale

Save the date and plan to shop a great selection of interesting and hard-to-find plants at Historic Oakland Foundation’s Spring Plant Sale! The sale will take place at Oakland Cemetery’s Magnolia Square on Saturday, April 13 with a special members-only presale on Friday, April 12.

Reserve Your Spot

So that customers don’t have to wait in long lines, we have implemented a ticketing system to reserve a time slot The reservation time slots on Saturday, April 13 are at 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Those without reservations can shop what’s left from noon to 1:30 on April 13.

Reservations are $15 and are good for up to two people. You will receive a credit of $15 off your purchase when you check out. (You’ll receive a credit of your purchase total if your purchase is less than $15 and any remainder will be considered a donation to Historic Oakland Foundation. Offer excludes tax).

HOF Member Preview

Historic Oakland Foundation members will get the first pick of the Spring Plant Sale inventory on Friday, April 12 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. during a special members-only preview. Reservations are required for the preview. We will email our members a link to make reservations.

Come for the Plant Sale and stay for Spring to Life!

Our new Spring to Life family festival celebrates spring and sustainability. Take a guided tour of our gardens, meet wildlife ambassadors from AWARE wildlife rescue, visit with local environmental organizations, get creative with some environmentally themed crafts, shop the vendor market and our Oakland gift shop, learn about the history of Black gardens, and enjoy tasty food from our food vendors. The festival runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and ends with our Run Like Hell 5k.
