Love Stories of Oakland: Valentine’s Day

February 14, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm

Love never dies at Oakland Cemetery! Surprise your Valentine with a unique outdoor date night at Oakland Cemetery. Enjoy more than 20 tour stops through Oakland’s Victorian garden cemetery as we recount the loves of Atlantans of days past. Discover the symbolism of love found on monuments throughout the grounds and stories of devotion that extend into the afterlife.

The 75-minute long tour will start at 5:30 pm. Arrive at Oakland’s Bell Tower at least 15 minutes before the start of your tour to check in. Grab a complimentary hot chocolate and hit the dessert table for a sweet treat before your tour. Check out the Museum Shop for plenty of Valentine-themed gifts. All Love Stories ticket holders will receive a 10 percent discount in the Museum Shop!

Finish out your Valentine’s Day with dinner at one of our favorite Memorial Drive haunts. We recommend Agave, Carroll Street Cafe, and Petit Chou for intimate dinners (reservations recommended). Check out Six Feet Under, Firepit, Republic Social House, Mezcalitos, or Tin Lizzy’s for a more lively atmosphere. See a map of restaurants here.
