Cocktails & Conservation
March 24 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Historic Oakland Foundation is pleased to partner with the Atlanta Woman’s Club to present Cocktails & Conservation, an exclusive gala benefit on Sunday, March 24.
The event will take place at the Wimbish House, which is an unforgettable setting and an example of preservation at its finest. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, period cocktails, tarot readings, and the opportunity to explore this historic home.
Guests will also be delighted by musical entertainment from the Garden Wall duo, who will play at Carnegie Hall in New York later this year, as well as a silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind items.
Proceeds from the event will support the restoration of the 1908 Women’s Comfort Station at Oakland Cemetery. The Women’s Comfort Station is a small, single-room structure located near the Jewish Grounds at Oakland Cemetery. Constructed in 1908 as a restroom and place of refuge from rain or excessive sunlight, the historically and architecturally significant building has remained vacant for roughly 50 years, deteriorating from weather and neglect. After restoration, our hope is to turn the building into a revolving exhibit for panels about the history of Atlanta and Oakland. Learn more.
