Ticketing

A ticket confirmation email with a QR and FAQ should have automatically been sent after each ticket purchase. If you have not received an email containing a QR code, please check your spam folders or email info@oaklandcemetery.com so that we can resend the confirmation.

Only one QR is sent per ticket purchase. If you purchased more than one ticket, please ensure that all members of your party arrive together for check in.

If for any reason your party doesn’t arrive together, please make sure all members of your party have access to either the QR code or know the name on your ticket reservation. Once at the gate, members of your party checking in after the first member(s) have arrived should update the gate attendant on how many they are checking in from the total amount of tickets on your order.

We have a strict no refund, no exchanges policy for Capturing the Spirit of Oakland tours. You are welcome to give or resell the tickets to friends and acquaintances. Be sure to share the QR code and any information received from HOF with them.

Arrival

Important: Capturing the Spirit entry is staged in two areas at Oakland: the main gate and the Bell Tower area. Your ticketed time is not when your tour begins. Instead, it denotes when you will enter the main gate area and head to the Bell Tower.

Your tour entry time can be found on your ticket confirmation. If you cannot locate your tour time, please email info@oaklandcemetery.com

Upon arrival, if your ticketed time ends in :00 or :30, please queue on the right side of the entranceway. If your ticketing time ends in :15 or :45, please queue on the left side of the entranceway. There will also be signage on-site to direct ticket holders.

Gate attendants will have you queue outside the gated cemetery entrance and announce when it is time to enter the cemetery. Listen carefully for other information about the evening. Please have your QR code ready to be scanned. If presenting the QR code on your phone, please turn the display to the brightest setting.

After having your ticket scanned, please continue to the Bell Tower, remaining on the lighted path at all times. Your tour will begin approximately 15 minutes after you arrive at the Bell Tower. Please use the time before your tour begins to purchase beverages and snacks, use the restroom facilities, and enjoy the performers.

On the Tour

During your tour, always remain on the lighted pathway. Historic Oakland Foundation and the City of Atlanta are not responsible for injuries incurred as a result of leaving the lighted path.
