Volunteer -Tours, Museum Shop and Events
If you are a history buff, interested in preservation and love old cemeteries then consider joining Oakland's volunteer corps! Our volunteers appreciate the importance of not only restoring and preserving, but also of sharing one of Atlanta's greatest treasures with the local community and with visitors from around the world.
Use your time and talents in a number of fun, interesting and worthwhile ways.
- Share your passion for learning! Our knowledgeable, well trained guides lead walking tours of the grounds year round.
- Become a Visitors Center and Museum Shop host. Staffed almost entirely by volunteers, this is the first stop on everyone's visit to Oakland.
- Oakland's special events could not take place without our dedicated volunteers. Have a great time helping with Sunday in the Park, our Capturing the Spirit of Oakland Halloween Tours and the Run Like Hell 5K and Run Like Heck Fun Run.
